What I'm talking about is Dewey's 24-Hour Read-a-thon that starts Saturday, October 24th at 8 AM Eastern. The idea of reading non-stop for 24 hours is appealing, though I know I won't make it that long. Practicality is one reason: I have a pre-Turkey fellowship that evening, so I'll be starting my own 24-hour-period about half a day ahead of time.
Anyway, I will be participating, and I wanted to invite anyone else who might like to join!

There's no way that the 8am to 8am read-a-thon would work for me. Church the next morning would be pretty rough.
ReplyDeleteI might join you in the 12-hour shift and see how that work. With the two little ones, it's a bit unlikely that I'll really make it work, but I'm game to see what I can do.
Woohoo! Glad you're joining us! Wickle: You're allowed to sleep, take breaks, etc., during the read-a-thon.
ReplyDeleteI'd love too, but I've been trying to actually curb my reading. Too often I let books take priority over other things. Also it would be really difficult with homeschooling and all.
ReplyDeleteMy mom is in town that weekend, and she probably wouldn't like that. And my husband might kill me or I might try it out :)
